Our story
Born from a real problem, not a market opportunity
ownMap was born in 2019 from a team of French engineers who, like so many others, struggled to find their way around large buildings — without the issue seeming, in their eyes, to justify a significant budget. Rather than leave the problem unanswered, they built the solution they would have liked to find.
The application was first tested within Parisian universities, before expanding to other institutions and local authorities that shared the same need.
